Kristin Beall is a third generation, licensed building contractor in Central Florida.  Kristin brings a unique perspective to construction and design by combining storm safety, energy efficiency and green building concepts in affordable housing. Kristin's innovative design and building concepts have made her an industry leader and a sought after home improvement expert and speaker. As a result, she has been seen on Inside Edition, ABC's Good Morning America, NBC's TODAY Show, The Early Show on CBS, FOX Business News, the Weather Channel, DIY, HGTVPro, and in The New York Times, International Herald Tribune, and BUILDER Magazine to name a few.  Kristin spent over a year as the “Contract-Her” on the nationally syndicated morning television show The Daily Buzz, giving homeowners the tricks of the trade in home maintenance, repair, and design. She was the Host and Executive Producer of “New Homes and Neighborhoods” FOX 35 Orlando, and “Home Talk TV” on WRDQ TV-27 from 2002-2007.

She and her family have built almost 4000 homes over the past 50 years and have won numerous building and design awards. Kristin’s focus on safe, affordable housing has led her to be one of the only builders in central Florida to include features such as NSSA (National Storm Shelter Association) certified safe rooms and IBHS (Institute for Safe Living) certifications on her home designs and construction.  Kristin’s first Fortified…for safer living® home, won both the 2007 Parade of Homes and the coveted Aurora Award, for the best home between $200,000-$300,000 in the Southeast.
Kristin graduated from Tavares High School at age 16, completed her Bachelors degree at Stetson University at age 19, and completed her Masters degree at the University of Central Florida at 21. Kristin holds Building and Real Estate licenses and is a Certified Green Professional through the National Home Builders Association.  Kristin was Miss Florida 1995, Miss Florida USA 2000, named “One of Central Florida’s Most Intriguing Personalities” by Orlando Magazine, and one of Florida Trend’s “Rising Stars in Business in 2009”. In 2011, Kristin was appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott as a board member of the Construction Industry Licensing Board which oversees contractors in Florida.  She served until 2013.

Kristin always finds time to give back to her community and has worked with dozens of charitable organizations throughout the state. She completed building a house for Habitat for Humanity and was the construction supervisor for this all female build. Kristin is currently building replacement housing for the victims of the 2007 Tornados through the Lake County Affordable Housing Program.  Kristin also spent several years as the state appointed Spokesperson for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, mentoring young people in prisons throughout the state.  Most recently she served as an ambassador for Lake Cares, a food pantry in Mount Dora.

In January of 2015, Kristin was diagnosed with an aggressive form endometrial cancer caused by Lynch syndrome, a genetic mutation.  After completing 6 months of chemo and radiation Kristin is cancer free and has become an outspoken advocate for Lynch and the need for genetic testing.
